Walking in the Spirit – Four

So now we can identify clearly the problem that we each face, but what is the solution?  The solution is the same as it has always been, Confession, Repentance, and Baptism.  Tell the world that you have changed, be buried under the water to symbolize your death to the old life, get raised up out of the water to a new life, a life “In Christ” and live a life dedicated to him, living in the flesh is no longer, as it has been put to death, crucified, we now live in “The Spirit” and by such, are daily walking in the Spirit, we are obedient, not because we do the good works, the Holy Spirit within us, compels us, prompts us, directs us, Woo’s us, encourages us.

Our part is to instantly respond.  Ephesians 4:30 “And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.”  We so often are found to be “In Rebellion” as we grieve the Holy Spirit by either refusing to respond, delaying our response, or by adapting things and installing self, flesh, humanity into something that is meant to be of a “Spiritual Nature.”

Joel  2:28-29 “And it shall come to pass afterward, [that] I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:  and also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.”  This Prophecy is shortly to be fulfilled on a Global Scale, as those who “Live by the Spirit” are going to be super abundantly infilled with the Holy Spirit, and it is going to flood out from them to those around them, so do you want to stop following the flesh and start “walking in the Spirit” and be ready to bless those about you so much more abundantly?

James 1:12-16 “Blessed [is] the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.  Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:  But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.  Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.  Do not err, my beloved brethren.”  This “Enticed – Tempted” and drawn away, is a “Fishing” concept, you have bitten or taken the bait, the hook is now well lodged and anchored in your mouth, and then Satan settles down to reel you in, you are hooked, stay on the line and you are most likely lost, Jesus Christ can cut you free, and get that hook out of your mouth.  Warning – Do not take the bait of Temptation, it only leads to disaster and death, wages of sin.

Quote; “You are in danger from corruption within and temptation without. There are evil habits and traits of character which are constantly inclining you to selfishness and weakness of principle. During the past year, Satan has been diligent in his efforts to turn you away from beholding yourselves; and many of you have erred in leaving God’s own established standard to follow an imperfect one of your own devising. But none need err from the way, for God has given his own beloved Son to be our guide to Paradise. We are to copy his pure, spotless, and holy life; and through his grace we may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”  {RH, 20/2/1885}

Quote; “The mind of God must unite with the mind of man, so that every thought may be brought into captivity to Christ. When the truth is fully received, it will be made manifest by a transformation of character. But those who do not thus receive the truth, though their names may be upon the church-books, they are as whited sepulchres, full of corruption within. Sin has not been expelled from the soul, and impurity, self-indulgence, fleshly lusts, moral depravity,–are all discerned by the All-seeing Eye that reads the thoughts and intents of the heart.  {YI 22/6/1893}

Quote; “When man is a partaker of the divine nature, the love of Jesus will be an abiding principle in the soul, and self and its peculiarities will not be exhibited. But it is sad to see those who should be vessels unto honour, indulging in the gratification of the lower nature, and walking in paths that conscience condemns. The corruption within unites with the corruption without, and men professing to be followers of Christ, fall to a low level, always mourning over their shortcomings, but never overcoming, and bruising Satan under their feet. Guilt and condemnation constantly enshroud the soul, and the cry of such might well be, “O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death?” Through indulgence in sin, self-respect is destroyed; and when that is gone, respect for others is lessened, because we are under the impression that others are as unrighteous as we are ourselves.”  {PH089 13}

Quote; “God proves His people in this world. This is the fitting-up place to appear in His presence. Here, in this world, in these last days, persons will show what power affects their hearts and controls their actions. If it is the power of divine truth, it will lead to good works. It will elevate the receiver, and make him noble hearted and generous, like his divine Lord. But if evil angels control the heart, it will be seen in various ways. The fruit will be selfishness, covetousness, pride, and evil passions.  {1T 188}

Dear Reader; “The Proof is in the Pudding,” so the evidence of “Walking in the Spirit” will be evident to all about you, as “Self” is now dead, and “Christ in you the hope of Glory” clearly shines out in all you do.  Let us each resolve to be “Spirit Filled” and dead to the fleshly lusts and ego.
