Sin’s Delusion

Sin’s Delusion

“Sometimes the Devil allows people to live a life free of troubles, but he doesn’t want them turning to God.  His sin is like a Jail Cell, except it’s so nice and comfy, and there doesn’t seem to be any need to leave.  The door is wide open, then one day time runs out, the cell door slams shut and suddenly it’s too late.” From DVD; “God’s Not Dead” – Mum Speech.

The Bible addresses this question in many places, but I like this one found in Jeremiah 12:1 “Righteous [art] thou, O LORD, when… Continue reading

God’s Not Dead

God’s Not Dead

Recently I was given a recommendation to watch the DVD called, “God’s Not Dead.”  A fantastic Movie and well worth the time to watch. Here are a few quotes that really caught my attention.

“Nonsense remains nonsense even when spoken by Scientists” – John Lennox

And, “Do you believe God is capable of error, bias or bad judgment?  So if he is incapable of mistakes, and he made you in his likeness and in his image, it follows that he cares about you, right, to the point where God’s only son would be willing to… Continue reading

Nest Building

Nest Building

In this Article we will explore an interesting predicament that I recently heard about and we shall soon see “Spiritual Lessons,” from it.  I think it was an ancient Greek Philosopher who coined this phrase, “A bird and a fish can fall in love, but where do they build their nest?”  As this story goes, a lad in England falls in love with a lassie in USA, true love comes in many varied guises and from sometimes unexpected meetings, but that is how this story goes.

Now a “Green Card” is currently unavailable to the Englishman,… Continue reading

Sneaky Deception

Sneaky Deception

I heard a wonderful talk a while back; that proved that Sin, in essence; that sin is really just a “Why?”  Satan told God to make any request he wanted, but he will consider it, and if it sounded fine, then he would be obedient.  Eve at the Tree had the same problem, God Said, “But,” she said, hey, this looks rather good to make one even better, healthier and wiser, so she went with her reasoning, so she disobeyed and was not a happy camper afterwards.  The wages of sin then instantly kicked… Continue reading

The May Fly

May Fly

Let us look at this very interesting creature and see what we can learn from it.

Let us look at Wikipedia; “The lifespan of an adult mayfly is very short and varies depending on the species. The primary function of the adult is reproduction; the mouthparts are vestigial, and the digestive system is filled with air.

The wings are membranous, with extensive venation, and are held upright like those of a butterfly. The hindwings are much smaller than the forewings, and may be vestigial or absent. The second segment of… Continue reading

Be in Health

Be in Health

Here is an interesting verse to open this subject with, and it is found in 3 John 1:2 “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”  When one looks at this subject/concept even more verses come to the fore, like 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?  For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your… Continue reading

Vineyard left to Others

The Vineyard is left to others.

In this Article we shall explore something that has been developing for quite a long while, so here it is.  We have this interesting Parable found in Matthew 21:33-45 “Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country:  And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it.… Continue reading

Dead Formalism II

A Dead Formalism II

Even this side of the cross of Christ, which itself should be the everlasting destruction of it, the same dead formalism, an empty profession, has exalted itself, and has been the bane of the profession of Christianity everywhere. Very soon, unconverted men crept into the church and exalted themselves in the place of Christ.  Not finding the living presence of Christ in the heart by living faith, they have ever since sought to have the forms of Christianity supply the lack of His presence, which alone can give meaning and life to these forms.… Continue reading

A Dead Formalism Part I

A Dead Formalism-1

Unbelieving Israel, not having the righteousness which is of faith, and so not appreciating the great sacrifice that the Heavenly Father has made, sought righteousness by virtue of the offering itself and because of the merit of presenting the offering.

Thus was perverted every form of service and everything which God had appointed to be the means of expression to a living faith and which could not have any real meaning except by the living presence and power of Christ Himself in the life. And even this was not enough. For, not finding the peace and… Continue reading

Put Christ back into Christmas

Put Christ back into Christmas

At this time of year, most people give some semblance of honour and attention to putting Christ back into their lives and they call it Christmas.  Then they dive headlong into me-me, my-my, and what I want and all presents I have to get and it all turns so quickly into a very self centred getting stuff for me, kind of season.  It is really supposed to be about others, Family, Unity; and then Unity with Jesus Christ.  A time to reflect upon his Birth, he was and is Royal and Regal,… Continue reading
