Uncovered
There they were, happily driving along, when in a moments inattention, “Crash – Boom,” they came to an instant sudden stop, Airbags deployed, dust and steam everywhere, windscreen crazy cracked, and the bonnet looking more like a mountain range. There bent across their front, is one of those very expensive “Luxury Cars” from Europe. All inside were safe, because of its extremely high safety ratings, through over engineering, their injuries are rare, and usually very minor, it was a “walk away accident.”
Reality now hits the driver, as he looks dazed upon the chaotic scene in front of him, that “Give Way” sign should have been heeded, and then he has “No Insurance,” he is “Uncovered.” From this day forward, his life has just been majorly and forever changed, and there is no going back for a “Re-Set” and to try again. The Courts decreed the sentence, which was anticipated, “Guilty” of negligence, and fortunately, not the big charge and Prison time for “Vehicular Homicide.”
He then gets the “Bill” from the Insurance Company for a “Replacement Vehicle,” for the other people, and that certainly makes the eyes water big time. Cars, Holidays, Owning their own home, all have vaporized in that moment, “Uncovered,” and they will spend every day of their lives, working every hour possible, just trying to earn enough, forever going without, just to settle that huge debt. Those few minimal dollars that Insurance would have cost them for complete “Coverage,” is minute when compared to the cost of replacing that destroyed European Car that they have just crashed into, “Uncovered.”
There are many people who take a lovely vacation to amazing places, accidents, injuries, major health crisis, and then Hospital Bills, Ambulance Bills, Intensive Care, even trying to fly home a deceased, can quickly ramp up Hundreds of thousands of dollars, and then there is “Medi-Vac” to fly up specialized medical personnel, who are specially trained to bring back the sick, broken and the dying, and then there is all the medical expenses when they finally get back home. Those few dollars that Insurance would have cost them for complete “Coverage,” is minute when compared to the cost of Hospitals, “Medi-Vac,” or even having to fly up relatives for help and support, they just found out that they were, “Uncovered,” it really was not worth it.
Jesus Christ is offering everyone “Free Comprehensive Insurance,” “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16. We just need to “Accept” God’s “Free Comprehensive Insurance,” and that settles that, “Covered.” Revelation 3:18 “I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and [that] the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.” This is the companion verse to this one, Genesis 3:10-11 “And Adam said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I [was] naked; and I hid myself. And he said; Who told thee that thou [wast] naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?”
Adam and Eve thought that they knew best, they were safe, everything is under their control, nothing to worry about, they are in complete control, they stepped “Onto Satan’s turf,” everything went “Pear Shaped” in an instant, in a moment, and then their Godliness and protection disappeared through “Disobedience,” that “Robe of Christ’s Righteousness” was no more, they were “Uncovered.” Gone in that instant was their everything, evicted, Genesis 3:24 “So he (God) drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.” Adam and Eve basically landed up evicted, lost everything, home gardens and all, dumped out on the street, sitting in the gutter, with only their shirts upon their backs, “Uncovered,” and “Evicted,” with absolutely nothing, in abject poverty through all the days of their miserable life outside of God, “Uncovered.”
We all need to just freely “Accept” God’s “Free Comprehensive Insurance,” and that settles that, “Covered.” Covered by “The Blood of the Lamb,” covered by the love of God which passeth all understanding, and then to remain therein through daily obedience to our Heavenly lifestyle, clothed in the love of God as found in Christ Jesus, and feeding on his word, daily devouring Scripture, clothed in the armour of God, with the radar of the Holy Spirit keeping us far away from the snares of the devil, who wishes to destroy us at every chance he can on our pathway through life, forever “Covered.”
We each have a choice, will we – wont we? God will not force anything upon you, it is all about “Free Will” and there is consequence on both sides, obedience and being “Covered” and eternity and the blessings and joys are all yours, Protected. Go against God, and try to do it your own way, and you are “Uncovered” and the day will come when everything crumbles right before you, you are without excuse, without covering, outside of God, everything is lost, no future, nothing, it is all gone in a micro-second, gone, “Uncovered.”
So choose you this day whom ye will serve, Proverbs 16:25 “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof [are] the ways of death.” The path of failure ends in you being “Uncovered.” Commit your life to Jesus Christ, live a live within his care, and remain forever “Covered,” so which path will you choose, and please don’t be ever found, “Uncovered.”
