Release Date
Here is an interesting thought then; for when is your “Release Date?” This term is often used when referring to a ‘Prisoner,’ one who is counting down to when the doors will finally spring open, and they can then go out freely and get on with all the lost things that are now freely available, no more lock downs, no more restraints or constraints, you now have back your powers of choice to go where you want, eat what and when you want, you now can make decisions. People with a “Mortgage” also look forwards to their ‘Release Date,’ that day when that final payment is made, you then get that clean and clear title to the home or property, no more ‘Repayments’ to the bank or lender, one is outside of their clutches, Mortgage comes from the French, Mort = Death and Gage come from ‘Grip,’ that ‘Death Grip.’
But then there are all the animal rescue shelters, that take in abandoned, sick or injured little critters and creatures, bind up their wounds, warm and feed the sick and hungry, care for the orphaned babies and little ones, raise them up to full health and strength, and then there comes that wonderful “Release Date,” that day when their captivity is over, and they are carried off to that safe ‘Release Site,’ where they can once more thrive and abound, to set up a new home in a safe environment. So then, when is your “Release Date?” But you say, I am not under any captivity, but what about on a ‘Spiritual Side,’ are we not all under the heavy bondage and captivity of ‘Sin and Death,’ and would it not be scarily wonderful to live in a world where there is no more sin and death, sighing or crying, captivity is over, time to go forth, so when is your “Release Date?” Revelation 21:4 “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Zechariah 3:20 “At that time will I bring you [again], even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the LORD.” God has a “Release Date” in mind for all his kids.
We who are wise, come to Jesus, and by repentance are now in ‘Remission,’ and sin does not have dominion over us, Romans 6:14 “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law [of sin], but under grace.” But we still live here in a world of sin and sorrow and death, but we are counting down the days, each and every day passing brings us one day closer to our ‘Release Date.’ Jeremiah 30:17 “For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, [saying], This [is] Zion, whom no man seeketh after.” Hosea 6:1 “Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.” Matthew 11:28-30 “Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke [is] easy, and my burden is light.” “Release Date” is coming very soon.
2 Peter 3:13 “Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.” Romans 6:14a “For sin shall not have dominion over you:” Revelation 20:14 “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.” Revelation 21:1 “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.” Micah 4:4-5 “But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make [them] afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken [it]. For all people will walk everyone in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever.” Here the “Release Date” is past, one has full safety and freedom from sin and sorrow and death, what is in the past has fully gone into the past, ahead is a bright new world, Quote; “The theme of redemption is one that the angels desire to look into; it will be the science and the song of the redeemed throughout the ceaseless ages of eternity. Is it not worthy of careful thought and study now? {CE 57}
Quote; “All the treasures of the universe will be open to the study of God’s children. With unutterable delight we shall enter into the joy and the wisdom of unfallen beings. We shall share the treasures gained through ages upon ages spent in contemplation of God’s handiwork. And the years of eternity, as they roll, will continue to bring more glorious revelations. “Exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20) will be, forever and forever, the impartation of the gifts of God. “His servants shall serve Him.” Revelation 22:3. The life on earth is the beginning of the life in heaven; education on earth is an initiation into the principles of heaven; the lifework here is a training for the lifework there. What we now are, in character and holy service, is the sure foreshadowing of what we shall be. {Ed 307}
Cities of Refuge give us the concept of being safe from the Avenger, as long as we stay inside within the city walls, for outside death and destruction is assured, but the day is coming when Satan, Sin and Death are gone, God has bound up our wounds, poured in the healing balm, fed and nourished us, and now that we are healthy and well, danger is no more, our “Release Site” [The New Earth] is all ready for us, so God swings open the gates to the city of the New Jerusalem, and just like in Noah’s day, when the flood and danger are passed, the door opened, this is ‘Release Date,’ go forth and build a home and inhabit it. Shortly Jesus will return for his kids, the sheep of his flock, the wheat of his fields, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” At this time all other dead still remain dead in their graves, those tares and goats are slain, and the earth is trashed, just like in Noah’s flood, Fallow Ground. God’s kids move into the City of Refuge, New Jerusalem, and are safe for 1000 years, Malachi 4:2 “But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.” Quote; “As Adam came forth from the hand of his Creator he was of noble height and of beautiful symmetry. He was more than twice as tall as men now living upon the earth, and was well proportioned. His features were perfect and beautiful. His complexion was neither white nor sallow, but ruddy, glowing with the rich tint of health. Eve was not quite as tall as Adam. Her head reached a little above his shoulders. She too was noble, perfect in symmetry, and very beautiful. {ML 126} On that Day of Accountability, for then all that the wicked lost find that they must answer for all that they have said and done, for God raises all the wicked from their graves, they therefore face God in Judgement and accountability, they are shown the righteousness of God, and how by their life and habits that they have unfitted themselves from the purity of Heaven, then fire comes down, burns up the tares, and it is so hot that even the very rocks melt, then creation happens again, a new Heavens and a New Earth wherein dwelleth righteousness, and a “Release Date” from captivity, into a safe and perfect environment, are you preparing your life now for this “Release Date” when the gates of the New Jerusalem swing open to a safe new world?
