This is a most common term, when we contemplate this phrase, “Just Add Water,” take a bag of pre-mix concrete or mortar, just add water and you are ready, ask at a plant centers where they will sell you a wee tray of potting mix, just remove the lid, ‘Just Add water,’ replace the clear vented lid, place in a warm sunny windowsill, and after a few days plants appear, then when large enough, plant out in your garden, and as they mature, you can harvest flowers, vegetables, tomato’s, just whatever that the label tells you is hidden within, “Just Add Water,” and new life begins.  One archeologist tells us that they took some kernels of wheat from an Egyptian Tomb, planted them, ‘Just Added Water,” and they immediately grew, after being hidden away for some 2,500 Years, ‘Just Add Water’ and they will live again and grow.  Some Pet Shops will sell you a wee pouch of ‘Sea-Monkeys,’ which is a marketing term for brine shrimp (Artemia) sold as novelty aquarium pets, ‘just add water,’ and almost instantly you have tiny wee critters swimming about in your bowl.

In the Christian Life, just Baptize a person, “Just Add Water,” the water of Baptism, and the water of the Holy Spirit, and the wonders of God that seemed to be totally missing in the dry and useless life, suddenly spring forth, sprout out and grow, a new life that was before not easily observed, is now clearly obvious.  Matthew 17:20 “And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”  Matthew 13:31-32 “Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.”  Go and sow it, ‘Just Add Water,’ and what you sow, so shall ye also reap.  Matthew 13:3 “And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a Sower went forth to sow;” here is another Parable, for that which appeared to be dry and dead, was strewn upon the ground, ‘Just Add Water,’ by rain or irrigation, and new life will sprout forth from that which appeared to be dried up and dead.  Job 14:8-9 “Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground;  [Yet] through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant,” ‘Just Add Water.’

Revelation 21:6 “And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.”  John 4:13-15 “Jesus answered and said unto her, whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.  The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.”  “Just Add Water,” and you will never thirst again, as it will well up from within you, Jesus is the source, so just add Jesus, ‘just add water’ that water of life that wells up unto Salvation and Eternity, and you will never be the same again, like rivers in the desert, life will abound on all sides, flowers and trees, birds and animals, butterflies and insects, all nature will abound and flourish, if all you do is to “Just Add Water.”  Isaiah 35:1-2 “The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.  It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, [and] the excellency of our God.”  “Just Add Water,” and deserts will bloom, grass and flowers spring forth, birds and insects return, hard and dried up lakebeds return with the water, fish and frogs, insects, New-Life springs forth when it was just baren and fruitless just a short time ago.  “Just Add Water,” to a spiritually dried up person, just watch the transformation that occurs daily, that new-life, that abundant-life, 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Revelation 21:1-4 “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.  And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.  And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, [and be] their God.  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”  Even this dried up and withered old world, seeming beyond anything, desert and unfruitful, “Just Add Water,” and watch old things all passed away, behold all things are new, just add God to your life, just add God to this shriveled up world, sin and death and evil will be no more, the wicked have perished, God’s Kids have a new life, the ‘River of Life’ flows through the land and the redeemed and all things burst forth into newness of life, with Jesus welling up fresh water of life from within, the redeemed blossomed, all because they heeded the cry, “Just Add Water.”
