As was once said, “A Bird and a Fish can fall in love, but where do they build their nest?” John 3:5-7 “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” Matthew 5:8 “Blessed [are] the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” Quote [Prayer at Full Throttle Page 7-8]; “When it comes to being the real you, perhaps a bit of comedy from Albert Einstein will help show you the way. Albert Einstein once wrote, “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it is stupid.” Consider the problems, challenges and difficulties that a fish would encounter while trying to live on land. The fish would quickly discover climbing trees is the least of its worries. It would have trouble with its mobility, trouble finding food, trouble drinking water, and trying to breathe would be nearly impossible. Just imagine the frustrations and health issues the fish would be suffering from! The poor little fish would be praying up a storm! “Please, Father, help me with my mobility. Please, Father, help me find water to drink. Please, Father, help me find food to eat, and air to breathe. Please, Father, heal my body.” But, if the fish would just get back into the water where it belongs, all of its problems would be solved! All of its prayers and cries for help would be answered just by following God’s plan for its life!” End Quote.
Quote; “But those who hunger and thirst after righteousness will purify their souls through obeying the truth. It is by beholding that we become changed into the likeness of Christ. By looking unto Jesus, by talking with Jesus, by fashioning the life after Christ’s example, we become meet for the inheritance of the saints in light, for our taste is perfected for the purity of heaven. {ST, 5/9/1895} Quote; “Could those whose lives have been spent in rebellion against God be suddenly transported to heaven and witness the high, the holy state of perfection that ever exists there,— every soul filled with love, every countenance beaming with joy, enrapturing music in melodious strains rising in honor of God and the Lamb, and ceaseless streams of light flowing upon the redeemed from the face of Him who sitteth upon the throne,—could those whose hearts are filled with hatred of God, of truth and holiness, mingle with the heavenly throng and join their songs of praise? Could they endure the glory of God and the Lamb? No, no; years of probation were granted them, that they might form characters for heaven; but they have never trained the mind to love purity; they have never learned the language of heaven, and now it is too late. A life of rebellion against God has unfitted them for heaven. Its purity, holiness, and peace would be torture to them; the glory of God would be a consuming fire. They would long to flee from that holy place. They would welcome destruction, that they might be hidden from the face of Him who died to redeem them. The destiny of the wicked is fixed by their own choice. Their exclusion from heaven is voluntary with themselves, and just and merciful on the part of God. {DD 16} They, that is, all the sinners and the lost, would be a proverbial ‘Fish out of water’ if they were ever transported to Heaven, unable to live and to blossom in the purity of Heaven, just living and breathing and existing in the purity of Heaven, is nigh on impossible to them. But they fell in love with a ‘Bird’ and wish to live and to nest and to set up home with the bird, so the fish must be recreated, re-born, re-made as a bird, to have a new heart and a new desires, compelling desires to live, and to fly as a bird, “Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” John 3:5-7 “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” As was once said, “A Bird and a Fish can fall in love, but where do they build their nest?” Quote; “But, if the fish would just get back into the water where it belongs, all of its problems would be solved! All of its prayers and cries for help would be answered just by following God’s plan for its life!” Quote [Adapted]; “But, if the fish would just get converted, re-born, transformed, re-created, made heavenly, to then live where it belongs, all of its problems would be solved! All of its prayers and cries for help would be answered just by following God’s plan for its life!” If we are controlled by the ‘Flesh,’ and fleshly lusts and desires, controlled by sin and sinfulness, then we shall forever remain earthly and to perish, a Fish that is forever unable to live out of the water. But on the other-hand, when we fall in love with the ‘bird,’ that heavenly, that spiritual, that eternal, that purity and holiness, that godlikeness, we become transformed, changing and morphing like a caterpillar into a beautiful butterfly, that re-birth, that transformation by the power of God, clearly displayed in our daily lives, that we are no longer fish and fishy, a re-birth, a new life in Christ, we are a bird fit for the purity of Heaven, where we are comfortable to live and to move and to have our being, pure in heart and life and character, harmoniously reflecting God, then are you “A Bird,” or are you still, “A Fish??”
