Love-it or Leave-it
It has been said once, that; “Eve was the Mother of Mankind – or the Betrayer of Mankind.” It sounds a bit harsh, but there is a whole lot of reality hidden within the concept, but how goes it with you and I, are we a little bit selfish and controlling, quick with the tongue to oppress others with a “Lecture” or some other juicy morsel and embellished “Gossip” or does our “Christianity” and Compassion flow strongly through, with love and compassion, care about our Fellow-Man by “Walking the Walk and in Talking the Talk?” Are we “Gods Child” or the one who lets the Team Down by looking very much like the Opposer of the Brethren, Mr Satan himself? To adapt our point, “Are you the staunch supporter of God – or the Betrayer of God?” Matthew 12:30 {MSG} “This is a war, and there is no neutral ground. If you’re not on my side, you’re the enemy, if you’re not helping, you’re making thing worse.”
How is it with our “Employer,” are we the “Faithful and Dependable, Proficient, Reliable,” or are we just in it for the pay-packet for the minimal of input? Is it the same with our Home Life, our Social Life, or our Community Life, it gets so easy to try to have a foot in both camps, to look somewhat like whichever group we are interacting with, Matthew 6:24 {MSG} “You can’t worship two gods at once. By loving one god, you’ll end up hating the other. Adoration of one feeds contempt of the other. You can’t worship GOD and Money both.” So, “Are you the staunch supporter of God – or the Betrayer of God?” We can only be in one camp, or you are instantly in the other camp, there is no fence to sit on, to sit on the fence, means that you have already rejected GOD. So will you “Love God, or Leave God for the enemy?”
Eve had the power of choice to “take GOD at his word” or to try to be “above God” and to try to tell Him what is what and where is where, and then when it all heads South, it all crumbles in a heap of disaster, GOD is usually the very first to receive all the blame and condemnation, when GOD was not a party to this dilemma. So will you “Love God or Leave God for the enemy?” “Are you the staunch supporter of God – or the Betrayer of God?” It all comes down to the “Power of Choice.” GOD created mankind in the Garden of Eden with a free will choice, they could chose to be obedient and to follow, or they could chose to go their own way, and for some reason Eve and then Adam chose to “do it my way” and when everything was crumbling about them, they then blamed GOD and claimed that this mess was all his fault.
When disaster hits, people often resort to blaming God for a certain event, when God was banished from having anything to do with it in the first place, there was no consultation with God at the beginning as to what was the best path to journey upon, God should have stepped in they say. Now if God was required to “step in” and to fend off situations, then how long before God was going to be charged with; meddling, or interfering, overstepping the mark, God leave me alone, get your sticky fingers out of my life, well until their choices are disasters, then they are very quick to blame or to claim GOD, now you have got to help me out and hit the “Reset Button.” So will you “Love God or Leave God for the enemy?” “Are you the staunch supporter of God – or the Betrayer of God?” The choice is always ours, every day and in every way, then in every moment of every day.
Matthew 11:28 {MSG} “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on fakes? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me – watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of Grace. I won’t lay anything heavy of ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” GOD is standing out there and he is offering each one of us so much, and such a superior and stress-free path, but GOD will never force his way into your life, it is our free will choice that is essential, so will you exercise your “Free Will” and chose a much better way, both here and in Eternity. So will you “Love God or Leave God for the enemy?” “Are you the staunch supporter of God – or the Betrayer of God?” The choice is always ours, every day and in every way, in every moment of every day.
Dear Reader; We can all get so easily caught up in the “Blame Game” and claim that “We are the Victim” and “It is not my Fault” Eve and Adam tried that angle, and it fell flat on the floor before them as a failure. They had to admit that they had gone “Outside of God” for he had put up the warning signs for them and they had failed to heed, he had counselled them to stay together and to look out for each other, Eve wandered away, fell into the trap, Adam jumped on in and was trapped as well, and the deceiver was nowhere to be seen. So will you “Love God or Leave God for the enemy?” “Are you the staunch supporter of God – or the Betrayer of God?” The choice is always ours, every day and in every way, in every moment of every day.
