Always being Grateful
We all know someone who is a “Grizzle Guts,” they are just full of worries, woes and so much of their communications are just plain bad or sad news, thus they can very quickly wear out their welcome, and they quickly wear us down till we get to the point where we just wish that they would just go away and bug somebody else, or to just instantly end this dreary phone call. Some researchers found that in our daily interactions of life, some 80% of it is all “Negative,” and only about 20% of it is “Positive,” uplifting, endearing and encouraging, or full of Affirmations, how so very sad, don’t tell me your troubles, as I’ve got troubles of my own. There was a cheeky Popular song that was around a while back, and its catchy bit was, “Always look on the Bright side of Life,” and then came that catchy whistling.
1 Corinthians 9:25-27 “And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they [do it] to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: but I keep under my body, and bring [it] into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” 2 Corinthians 6:4 “But in all [things] approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,” Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 17:22 “A merry heart doeth good [like] a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.” Proverbs 17:22 ERV “Happiness is good medicine, but sorrow is a disease.” Let us abstain from wallowing any longer in misery, let us stand up, dust off, and be a “Joy Germ,” being continually happy and cheerful in “All things.” Proverbs 24:16-17 “For a just [man] falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief. Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:” Always be “Grateful,” so in that very last disaster you just went through, did it actually kill you? Wounds quickly heal, live for Jesus every day, practice your “Eternity” right now, and always, be content, be happy, God will make “All things New,” and they will not be able to continue harassing you for very much longer for “What you sow, so shall ye also reap,” they get their just deserts, just as you and I will collect ours at the end of the race. “Always being Grateful,” do not let them rain on your parade, rise above, do not buy into their sorrow and woes, and “Always look on the Bright side of Life.”
Quote; “My Dear Reader: You should feel grateful to God for his care over you. Morning and evening you should have an interest in, and respect for, the hour of prayer, and from your grateful hearts, offer to God true gratitude. Shut out from your thoughts everything which would divert the mind from God, and while others are praying, fix your thoughts upward. When you pray, tell the dear Saviour just what you want in order to be kept from sin, and that you may have a heart to glorify him. Jesus deserves your gratitude and love. If you lack these things you cannot be children of God. Jesus can give you strength to overcome every fault. He can strengthen you in your purposes to do right. Keep from bad company. If you are annoyed or threatened in the streets by quarrelsome people, do not retaliate. It is truly noble to forgive and pass over a wrong; but it is mean and cowardly to revenge an injury. Let me entreat you to be above everything like engaging in a dispute, or speaking disrespectfully or sneeringly of those who annoy you, who do not respect themselves enough to behave properly. Such people are to be pitied. They have but little happiness. {AY 65} “Always be Grateful,” 2 Corinthians 6:4 “But in all [things] approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses.” “Always be Grateful.”
We need to rise above the “Cares of this World,” we need to be more forgiving, in everything, “Always being Grateful,” bad and sad people are sickly and haggard, yet happy and joyous people are healthy, fit, and much younger looking, bad emotions will wear you down and make everything a burden, joy and happiness will buoy you up, you will soar above the trial and temptations, “Joy Germs,” quickly “Forgive and Forget,” even Jesus on Calvary prayed for those engaged in active aggression towards him, Luke 23:34a “Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.” In doing any door to door research or sales, thank the very one who refuses to help or is unhappy, even the one who slams a door in your face, for they have just brought you one person closer to that “Yes,” that “Sale,” that “Success.” “Always being Grateful,” and in “All Things” remaining cheerful, grateful for what you have and what you have been given. If you slept in a bed, had something to eat today, be “Grateful,” because drought and famine means “A Drink of Water and a Look Around,” is about as good as it gets for many, and in some cases, that drink of water is not even available, “Always be Grateful.”
Proverbs 17:22 ERV “Happiness is good medicine, but sorrow is a disease.” Remember to remain, “Always being Grateful,” to “Always look on the Bright side of Life,” remain a “Joy Germ,” “In All Things.” Song; “Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice, rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice, rejoice, rejoice and again I say rejoice, rejoice, rejoice and again I say rejoice, Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice,” “Always being Grateful.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 “Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” “Always being Grateful.”
