Not Authorized
A Prophet was having a deep chat with God, and was pondering and thinking over and about what was happening in the world round about them. They pondered at the Government, and wondered why so many problems were not being attended to, or being handled so very badly, that it was taking forever to go from committee to committee and report after report, investigation after investigation, and still no actions, and that it took forever for even simple things to be attended to. Then at the local Council Office, so much was being spent and squandered on lots of sculptures and artworks, parks and playgrounds, when roads and critical infostructure works were being delayed or worked on at in an extremely slow pace. The Church was silently turning into a nite-club vice-club, it was now all about entertainment, feeling good, having a grand ole time, meeting friends, socializing, while sinners were perishing right outside the gate, or even worse, right inside the church. Marriages are under stress, crumbling, failing, or even becoming a sham, looking good from the outside, sort of having a form of godliness but no power at all, there was absolutely no relationship or reality behind closed doors, why is this so God, for this definitely should not ought to be (Fornication.)
God sighed, and bent over in his throne, and choked back a tear or two, and wiped back a tear and then sadly replied, “I never appointed those rulers, those ministers, those elders and preachers, people married the wrong spouse, I had such great and amazing plans for them, but they have chosen what I did not approve, and now look at the chaos and mess that they have got themselves into.” All because these appointments are “Not Authorized” and sanctioned nor approved, my will be done pervades everywhere in the Universe, but why not ‘Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven,’ choices made that do not conform to our very best interest, and God is unable to approve and to sanction these things, but God respects our individual free will choices, but this still does not make it right though, nor remove the long-lasting damaging consequences, and sometimes then they even lose out on their Eternal Rewards.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 ERV “Remember this: There are some terrible times coming in the last days. People will love only themselves and money. They will be proud and boast about themselves. They will abuse others with insults. They will not obey their parents. They will be ungrateful and against all that is pleasing to God. They will have no love for others and will refuse to forgive anyone. They will talk about others to hurt them and will have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. People will turn against their friends. They will do foolish things without thinking and will be so proud of themselves. Instead of loving God, they will love pleasure. They will go on pretending to be devoted to God, but they will refuse to let that “devotion” change the way they live. Stay away from these people! 14-17 “But you should continue following the teaching you learned. You know it is true, because you know you can trust those who taught you. You have known the Holy Scriptures since you were a child. These Scriptures are able to make you wise. And that wisdom leads to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by God. And all Scripture is useful for teaching and for showing people what is wrong in their lives. It is useful for correcting faults and teaching the right way to live. Using the Scriptures, those who serve God will be prepared and will have everything they need to do every good work.” Are your actions and mine “Authorized,” or “Un-Authorized,” is God blessed or ashamed by our many choices and actions?
Israel got caught out and looked at a problem that appeared so very valid, but it was really a scam and a con, they were counselled by God not to make agreements with the people in the promised land, but to conquer, to overcome and to possess. Joshua 9:6 “And they went to Joshua unto the camp at Gilgal, and said unto him, and to the men of Israel, we be come from a far [away] country: now therefore make ye a league [agreement]with us.” They looked at the external, the mouldy bread and worn-out clothes, but they did not ask God who knows the deceptions of our wicked hearts, and they got themselves into a long-lasting inconvenience. They made a peace agreement with the nearby enemy, and suffered for it for many long generations, all because they asked not God counsel at the mouth of the LORD. Joshua 9:12-14 “This our bread we took hot [for] our provision out of our houses on the day we came forth to go unto you; but now, behold, it is dry, and it is mouldy: And these bottles of wine, which we filled, [were] new; and, behold, they be rent: and these our garments and our shoes are become old by reason of the very long journey. And the men took of their victuals, and asked not [counsel] at the mouth of the LORD.” How quick are we to look at the externals, 1 Samuel 16:7 “But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for [the LORD seeth] not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.” Samuel was wise and asked God, made very sure that the actions were authorized, he could not see anything but a sweaty youth who had quickly run in from the fields where he had kept the sheep, God saw King David, a man after his own heart, and what a difference it made to have the right King on the throne at the right time, King Saul failed miserably, where King David was obedient and victorious, and life was amazing under his rule, for it was under God’s rule, it was Authorized. Do we ask God, and then rush off even before he can respond, and then when the disaster strikes, then foolishly try to blame God for the mess, ‘It is all God’s Fault,’ when in reality, he never authorized nor approved of such actions. In our daily lives, are we defeated or victorious, as the defeated have fallen as they fell on this point, “and asked not [counsel] at the mouth of the LORD.” Are our plans “Not Authorized?”
