God is not fair, and that is an undeniable fact, God is just not fair. Psalm 103:8-18 “The LORD [is] merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will he keep [his anger] forever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, [so] great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, [so] far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pitieth [his] children, [so] the LORD pitieth them that fear him. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we [are] dust. [As for] man, his days [are] as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. But the mercy of the LORD [is] from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children; To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.” God is just not fair; he is compassionate, bountiful in mercy and grace.
As the humorist once said; “Caution; Life is not fair, get used to it.” Take the thief on the cross, He is nailed there right next to Jesus, realizes that he has spent his whole life on the wrong tracks, eternity for him is very nasty, he seizes the opportunity, confesses faith in Jesus, receives forgiveness, spends a few more hours breathing his last gasps, dies, is buried in a mass grave, or just thrown onto the town rubbish pile, but on resurrection morning, he will arise with all the other redeemed, and arise to newness of life, and walk into Eternity, with all the other redeemed who Exodus from Egypt and sin, into the Promised Land. God is just not fair, this thief gets all of eternity, with all of its blessings and bounties, just like a Martyr, a preacher that has fought the good fight, finished the course, saved many to Salvation, has many souls there with him, but this ‘Soldier of the Cross,’ gets Eternity just the same as the Thief on the Cross, God is just not fair, but is he; he is always, and in all circumstances, more than totally fair?? Psalm 103:8-10 “The LORD [is] merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will he keep [his anger] forever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.” Did you get the point, Psalm 103:8 “The LORD [is] merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.” ‘God is not fair,’ and that is very true, God does not deal with us in a manner that we deserve, God is abundant in Grace and Mercy and Love, which he showers upon us, we do not deserve any of it, but still God abundantly showers blessings upon us, God treats us as his most beloved and most precious and dearest child, nothing is too hard for him, and God will abundantly shower blessings upon his redeemed children throughout the ceaseless ages of Eternity, God is Abounding Love, and Love is God, God cannot help himself, he is enamored with us, giving good gifts to his children makes him very happy, just like we love to give good gifts to those we are enamored and care about and love.
Now we have had some fun with ‘God is not Fair,’ and have totally failed to be able to bring any charges against God that are true, valid, that stick, so let us flip things and ask this question instead; “God is un-fair.” Now when has God ever been; mean, nasty, vindictive, cruel, vicious, dictatorial, where are the cases, where are the evidences? There are none, everything is very silent on this point, God can never ever be any of these, as ‘God is Love,’ and ‘Love (the real stuff) is God.’ Luke 6:35 “But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and [to] the evil.”1 John 4:16 “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a [Adapted] “Love suffereth long, [and] is kind; Love envieth not; Love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Love never faileth.” Get the point, “Love never fails,” and as God is Love, and Love is God, then God never fails, God never falls short, God is none other than perfect, kind, compassionate, abundant in mercy, God never fails, God is reliable, trust him, let him into your life, just see how often “God is not Fair,” as he treats you abundantly, graciously, kindly, way sweeter than what we earn or deserve, God removes the punishment of sin and death that we deserve, so that we can experience the fulness of God through Christ, which Christ deserves, the redeemed never experience what they deserve and have earned, God gives them the limitless bounties of Heaven, for a very long time, we did not earn it, we definitely do not deserve it, God gives us what we do not deserve, what we have not earned, so I guess in a humorous kind of way, “God is just not Fair.”
Quote; “Christ was treated as we deserve, that we might be treated as He deserves. He was condemned for our sins, in which He had no share, that we might be justified by His righteousness, in which we had no share. He suffered the death which was ours, that we might receive the life which was His. “With His stripes we are healed.” {DA 25} See, “God is not Fair,” but God is way more fairer than we deserve, let us praise God for his abounding, kindly compassion mercy towards us most undeservingly of his children.
