See it, Say it, Sorted

There is a Railway that has adopted this as its mantra, “If you see something that doesn’t look right, “Report It; then we’ll sort it; ‘See it, Say it, Sorted.’”  When we look out there and something definitely does not look just right, we should always give it a second look, identify it, from whence cometh it, is it pure and holy and right, or is it from some other source, one that we should spontaneously flee from, one that if embraced, it would be the ‘kiss of death.’  Matthew 18:15-17 JB Phillips “But if your brother wrongs you, go and have it out with him at once—just between the two of you. If he will listen to you, you have won him back as your brother. But if he will not listen to you, take one or two others with you so that everything that is said may have the support of two or three witnesses. And if he still won’t pay any attention, tell the matter to the church. And if he won’t even listen to the church then he must be to you just like a pagan—or a tax-collector!”  Matthew 18:15-17 JB Phillips [Adapted] “But if your brother appears to be in some danger, go and have it out with him at once—just between the two of you, check things out, is it danger, or have you misunderstood things. If he will listen to your correction, you have won him back as your brother. But if he will not listen to you, take one or two others with you so that everything that is said may have the support of two or three witnesses. And if he still won’t pay any attention, tell the matter to the church. And if he won’t even listen to the church then he must be to you just like a pagan—or a tax-collector!”  In our theme; warning, warning, warning; “See it, Say it, Sorted,” but then let Jesus do the sorting out and judging.

If you see something that is not right, something that is, or that could possibly be Sin, then take your concerns immediately to them, or take the warning yourself that you are slipping, together with Scripture, the Holy Spirit, and draw night unto God, check it out.  If it looks like sin, quacks like sin, then it probably is sin, stay as far away from it as possible, as it could well blow up in your face and kill you.  If you discern sin, then give it the “Wide Berth,” if it is not good for mind, body, or soul, pass it by on the other side, 1 Corinthians 10:31 “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”  Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.”  But if your fellow traveler has actually slipped and has slid into sin, or somehow is drifting into sin, call them back, help them to clearly identify sin, to call sin by its right name, to rescue the perishing to care for the dying, Jesus is merciful, Jesus will save. Sin is deceptive, it will con you, deceive you, trick you, try to seduce you, woo you, coo to you, but it is always unsafe to step off the hard paved pathway to heaven, and to venture out into the ‘Mine Field,’ or into the swamps of sin, 1 Thessalonians 5:3 “For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.”

Quote; “The greatest want of the world is the want of men, — men who will not be bought or sold; men who in their inmost souls are true and honest; men who do not fear to call sin by its right name; men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole; men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall. {CM 54} Quote; “There is nothing so offensive to God or so dangerous to the human soul, as pride and self-sufficiency. Of all sins it is the most hopeless, the most incurable. {COL 154} Quote; “So will it be with all who behold Christ. The nearer we come to Jesus, and the more clearly, we discern the purity of His character, the more clearly shall we see the exceeding sinfulness of sin, and the less shall we feel like exalting ourselves. There will be a continual reaching out of the soul after God, a continual, earnest, heartbreaking confession of sin and humbling of the heart before Him. At every advance, step out in your Christian experience, our repentance will deepen. We shall know that our sufficiency is in Christ alone and shall make the apostle’s confession our own: “I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing.” “God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.” Romans 7:18; Galatians 6:14. {AA 561} Let Jesus sort it, then report it quickly to Jesus, 1 Peter 5:7 “Casting all your care upon him; for He careth for you.”  Give it to Jesus, give all your concerns to him, then leave it there, with Jesus, in his hands, under his watch-care, let us always quickly run to Jesus, “Report It; then He’ll sort it, ‘See it, Say it, Sorted.’  Matthew 7:1 “Judge not, that ye be not judged.”
